What is the safe drive away time for a windshield repair?
Windshield chip repairs are immediately safe to drive away and use and wash your vehicle normally. After your windshield is replaced there is a 30 minute safe drive away time for the urethane glue adhesive to dry and cure. We recommend leaving the tape at the top of the windshield for 48 hours after installation and then removing it and avoiding the car wash for a week. The pressurized water can affect the windshield seal until it dries fully.
